Partnering with Lenz Architecture to create and oversee the construction of additions and renovations to the existing, early twentieth century structure located within the historical district of Old Worthington to give the jewelry store Owners much needed, expanded retail sales area as well as offices, conference and support space to reflect their growing company. With its strategic location at the northern most edge of the central commercial area, adjacent to the City’s signature public square, the proposed 3-tiered addition with its soaring, open interior volume was scrutinized by the City’s Architectural Review Board (ARB) members over a four month period to ascertain the design’s appropriateness for the historical context. The building recently won the Old Worthington Association’s top award of the year as the most compelling project in the Historic District.
