Adaptive Reuse and Mixed-use Development

Worthington, Ohio
For: Inspiration for Development

Project Info:

The existing site was once the home of Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield but has remained vacant and on the market for approximately five years. The project first repurposes the three existing office elements as the Market 6700 food hall (with the existing atrium enlarged becoming the focal point of the development), the Kilbourne Place boutique hotel and The Offices at 6700 a Class A, corporate office building. The project leverages the existing hilltop site development by placing several, single level parking garages into the hillside with the lawn extending overtop, concealing them from view. The garages increase the developable land allowing two new residential mid-rise towers to be added to the site resulting in a true live-work-play mixed-use development. Site amenities include an amphitheater for corporate teaming and community events as well as a sloping, radial garden, acting as a buffer to the existing single family residential development located at the back of the site.
